Background
Hamworthy United were stuck on a Pitchero template site that no longer met their needs. As they wanted a site that could help to advertise their sponsors and they were not in a position to keep the many various pages in the template up to date. This led to a bad fan experience and a sense that the website was never complete.
Approach
The main focus was to provide fans a site that they could be proud of and one that provided the key information required...fixtures, team news, events and directions to the club. We used the "Wix" site building platform to allow all of those within the club to have the ability to update and use the the site to great effect. Whilst allowing articles and news to be updated from a friendly mobile app.
Results
The results have meant that the club is more easily able to share and promote all communications. Gone are the one line and photo stories that the template permitted, to be replaced with an easier to use platform that is starting to be used effectively, and ready to grow as the club reintroduces the Development teams and Youth Teams.
